About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Little Champs Day Care Centre Inc. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily care and education of our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their individual needs.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to promote their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our children.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure a smooth and efficient daily routine.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors to inform their care and education.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children and contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
