Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food items to order, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Portion and package take-out food for customers.
- Restock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, and equipment.
- Handle and store cleaning products safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
