Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Trillium Montessori Educational Company Ltd. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support children's growth and well-being.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including daycare equipment and supplies.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
  • Assist in maintaining records and reports, and participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that promotes children's health, security, and well-being.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other Early Childhood Educators and assistants.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or equivalent certificate or diploma.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate.
  • Ability to work with children with special needs, including those with intellectual disabilities, behavioral issues, allergies, asthma, ADHD, or ADD.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
