About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Bridge Technician to join our team at Egis Canada. As a key member of our design team, you will play a vital role in preparing detailed drawings and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize AutoCAD to prepare structure drawings, including plans, elevations, cross-sections, and details, in accordance with Ministry standards and specifications.
  • Solve routine geometric problems involved in linear and angular dimensions, grades, elevations, and alignments for bridge geometrics.
  • Develop arrangement of size and shape of structural components to provide good appearance.
  • Prepare drawings with clarity, simplicity, arithmetic, geometric accuracy, and construction feasibility, and compute quantities of materials, determine unit prices, and develop cost estimates.
  • Develop design details in collaboration with design engineers.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
  • 2 years proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
  • Desire to be involved in the design conception.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
