Medication Administration Associate

The Medication Care Partner plays a vital role in our community, significantly influencing the well-being of residents and fostering meaningful connections.
As a Medication Care Partner, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Administering medications in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
- Reviewing residents' Support Plans and assisting with essential daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support, laundry management, and more.
- Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs, weights, behaviors, and any changes, while reporting findings to the appropriate team members.
- Accompanying residents to social activities, appointments, and dining.
- Responding promptly to nursing call systems.
- Carrying out additional tasks as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program that meets legislative requirements.
- Certification in Medication Administration.
- First Aid and CPR certification, along with experience in medication administration.
- A minimum of 600 hours of relevant experience, including both theoretical and practical training, ideally in a geriatric context.
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory for all applicants.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Courses in gerontology, aging, or dementia are advantageous.
