Job Summary:

The City of Windsor is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Staff II. This role is responsible for providing exceptional food service to our residents and guests, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents and guests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas
  • Assist with food preparation, including cooking, baking, and plating
  • Ensure that all food safety and handling procedures are followed
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve high-quality food service
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Food Service Worker Certificate from a recognized institution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and chemicals
  • May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
