Companion Caregiver Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion Caregiver to provide companionship and support to our clients in their homes. As a Companion Caregiver, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or designee and provide direct observation and companionship to clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide companionship and socialization to clients
  • Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Attend to clients' requests promptly
  • Document care given and pertinent observations accurately
  • Maintain confidentiality and treat clients with respect
Requirements:
  • Be eighteen (18) years of age
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write, and follow a written Aide Care Plan
  • Be self-directed and work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate dependability, tact, patience, and ability to follow instructions
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in dementia care
  • Knowledge of handling behaviors associated with dementia and familiarity with techniques for engagement and support
