Job Description

Position Job Title: Career Program Assistant

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)

Reports To : Associate Director, Career Development Centre

Application Requirement: Cover Letter

Primary Purpose

The Career Program Assistant provides operational and administrative support to the Career Development Centre team, performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the program. This includes maintaining program reports and documents, acting as the main contact person during team member absences, and assisting with information management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and reports
  • Provides exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff
  • Assists with the coordination of workshops and events
  • Develops and maintains an efficient filing system
  • Updates team databases and mailing lists
  • Coordinates the proofreading and editing of documents
  • Enters program-related information and generates reports
  • Assists with the coordination of graduate practicum programs
  • Provides support to team members with document preparation and formatting
  • Coordinates the registration process for workshops and events

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in education or related field
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications
