About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ML Developer to join our AIOps team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven solutions to transform IT operations and increase operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop AI Solutions: Collaborate with data scientists and subject matter experts to design and develop AI models that deliver AIOps services for the enterprise at scale.
  • Build and Deploy Data Pipelines: Partner with AIOps engineers and data owners to build robust and scaled real-time and batch data pipelines for model inferencing and training/re-training.
  • Develop End-to-End User Experiences: Integrate ML pipelines with enterprise ops systems, including notification and alerting systems, IT Service Management systems, event aggregators, and workflow orchestrators.
  • Monitor and Improve Model Performance: Continuously monitor model performance and measurably improve model performance over time.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience in AI/ML Development: Hands-on experience implementing real-time and batch ETL/ELT pipelines, highly parallel data processing, and stream processing with Python, Spark, Kafka.
  • Strong Python Skills: Extensive experience with ML Python libraries such as PySpark, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit, TensorFlow.
  • Cloud AI/ML Experience: Experience with cloud AI/ML and big data platforms and services, preferably AzureML, Vertex, SageMaker, Snowflake, DataBricks, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, REST APIs, and microservices-driven architectures.
  • Software Development Experience: Strong software development experience in an agile context, and extensive experience working with CI/CD software deployment pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with LLMs and Supervised/Unsupervised ML Techniques: Experience with large language models and supervised and unsupervised ML techniques, including regression and classification techniques.
  • Experience with Front-end Development: Front-end expertise with React and/or Angular.
