Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team at Smitty's Family Restaurant. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Greet and seat guests, answer questions about menu items and preparation methods, and address any concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Table Management: Manage table assignments, ensure timely seating, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Cash Handling: Process payments, balance cash, and maintain accurate records.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced restaurant environment with standing for extended periods and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent communication skills, client focus, and ability to work in a team environment.
