Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at Chef Big D's Deli and Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure timely and efficient food service
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
Work Environment:

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and ability to work under pressure are essential. You will be standing for extended periods and working in a team to deliver exceptional customer service.
