Job Title: Flooring Installation Specialist

Oceans Flooring Inc. is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Flooring Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring, including hardwood, carpet, and resilient flooring.

Work Environment

Our Flooring Installation Specialists work in a variety of settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential locations. You will be required to work on-site, often in a fast-paced environment, and may be required to travel to different locations.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting, hardwood, and resilient flooring
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in flooring installation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Hand-eye coordination
