About the Role

WorkplaceNL is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee our Case Management department, ensuring injured workers receive the benefits they deserve while facilitating recovery and safe return to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Team Development: Develop, attract, retain, motivate, and supervise a high-performing management team to achieve objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, workers, and employers to implement proactive early and safe return to work initiatives, effective claims management, and workplace safety.
  • Technology Advancements: Oversee the integration of technology to modernize service delivery, ensuring teams are equipped to succeed.
  • Benchmarking and Outcomes: Establish evidence-based benchmarks and outcomes to drive team performance and impact change.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Ensure timely action with relevant parties, responding to and impacting change.
  • Continuous Improvement: Adopt a continuous improvement approach to assessing and evaluating programs and services, focusing on efficiency and removing non-value-added activities.

Ideal Qualifications
  • Education: A university degree in a social science, healthcare, business, public administration, commerce, or a similar discipline, preferably at the master's level.
  • Experience: Five or more years of experience in a leadership role, with management capacity to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership abilities and exceptional interpersonal communication and planning abilities, including five years of management experience.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled problem solver with the ability to manage issues and work independently.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Experience implementing key performance indicators and using evidence to inform change.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and abilities, both oral and written.
