Position Overview

Kamloops Communications Inc is seeking a dedicated Electronics Technician to join our team. This permanent position offers a dynamic work environment where you will engage in various tasks related to electronic systems.

Work Environment
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Work Site: Includes outdoor settings and heights
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years
  • Experience: Previous experience is considered an asset
Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and service electronic equipment
  • Conduct testing on power systems and equipment
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electronic components
  • Calibrate instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Support the building and testing of prototypes to meet specifications
  • Collect and analyze operational data
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of electronic systems
  • Utilize specialized testing equipment to diagnose and evaluate performance
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in networking hardware and communication software
  • Familiarity with programming software and MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and MS Windows
Industry Experience
  • Experience in telecommunications and communications sectors
Specialization Areas
  • Testing, installation, operations, repair, and troubleshooting
Safety and Transportation
  • Basic security clearance required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle
  • Public transportation is not available
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Capable of handling physically demanding tasks
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads
