About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Diya Restaurant and Sweets Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our menu and quality standards.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all dishes, and ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
