Position Overview

As the Assistant Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for guiding and ensuring the overall success of the Retail Sales and Customer Service teams within a Canadian Bank branch. Your role will focus on executing business strategies, initiatives, and specific individual objectives that align with the team's overarching goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a customer-centric culture within your team to enhance client relationships.
  • Support the development and strengthening of existing and new customer connections by delivering financial guidance and exceptional service.
  • Mentor your team towards success, both individually and collectively for the Branch/Bank.
  • Drive results through effective leadership.
  • Engage actively with staff, customers, and partners.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in people management with the ability to inspire your team.
  • Background in personal banking.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales management and marketing for Scotiabank.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships focused on providing an outstanding client experience and expanding ties with existing Bank customers.
  • Possession of a mutual funds sales license.
  • Completion of the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning (or an equivalent recognized by the Bank).
  • Fulfillment of educational requirements to serve as Alternate Branch Compliance Officer.
