Are you a seasoned tax professional looking to take your career to the next level? Do you have a passion for financial compliance and governance? We're seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Finance team at Kuehne+Nagel, a leading logistics organization with a global presence.
Your RoleAs a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of our company's state and corporate tax forms. You will ensure compliance with state, federal, and Canadian tax laws through a series of systems and controls designed to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Your Responsibilities- Manage direct and indirect tax matters in Canada.
- Ensure quarterly tax reporting is done for internal Kuehne+Nagel requirements.
- Assist in filing Canadian Tax Returns, encompassing Income Tax, GST/HST, and QST returns.
- Provide comprehensive day-to-day tax guidance to all Canadian business units.
- Oversee external advisory engagements to bring outsourced tasks in-house and reduce advisory costs.
- Assist in-house tax advisor for Kuehne + Nagel's growing presence in the Canadian market, assuming full accountability for Canadian tax affairs.
- CPA/CA or Bachelor's degree in accounting discipline is required.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role is required.
- 3+ years of experience in service/international advisory industry preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of State/Corporate/Partnership tax laws.
- Certifications of CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program or Master of Tax Program would be an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint, and ability to maintain complex Excel spreadsheets.
