The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Stormwater Engineer to join our team at ML6 Search + Talent Advisory. As a key member of our Ottawa office, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that focus on building sustainable infrastructure for developing communities.

About the Role

As a Stormwater Engineer, you will be responsible for working with our multi-disciplinary team to find innovative solutions for municipal servicing, carrying out studies, and providing services during construction. Your work will span the gamut from concept development to final commissioning of constructed works, including urban planning, master servicing studies, transportation, municipal servicing, stormwater management, water distribution system analysis and design, construction administration, and developing ideas for future renewables in our subdivision designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects, mentor, and lead junior staff through day-to-day challenges.
  • Work with long-time, established clients to ensure their expectations are met, as well as forge new relationships and create new pathways for business development.
  • Lead the development of competitive proposals to secure new assignments.

Requirements

  • A resourceful, clever, and enthusiastic Civil Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, ideally in land development and community building.
  • Experience in subdivision design, water conveyance, stormwater management.
  • A passion for building sustainable infrastructure for developing communities in an environmentally responsible way.
  • An interest in moving into a leadership role, with support to overcome the time and resource challenges.
  • An innovative and collaborative mindset, a solid mentor, and a professional who thrives when presented with new challenges.
