Senior Quality Designer

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Designer to join our team in the Greater Toronto Region. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for preparing complex drainage and stormwater management layouts and design drawings using theoretical and practical design knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Utilize advanced software to complete assignments and perform basic geometrics design of road and highway systems, including grading and drainage.
- Work closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.
- Meet stormwater management and drainage layout requirements and develop alternate design layouts of systems as required.
- Ensure compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
- Review supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.
- Check orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
- Perform checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Assist in training lower-level Designers in various procedures.
Requirements:
- 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent).
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
