We are seeking a dedicated Community Engagement Support Worker to assist an adult with a disability in expanding their horizons and thriving within the community. This rewarding role involves supporting them in building meaningful relationships, exploring new interests, and participating in diverse activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and support to enhance independence in daily living tasks, personal care, and household management.
  • Facilitate the establishment and maintenance of connections within the community.
  • Accompany and provide support during community outings, recreational activities, and leisure pursuits (a genuine interest in attending sporting events would be an asset).
  • Collaborate with service providers and other support workers to evaluate progress and develop personalized plans.
  • Assist in expanding the use of augmentative communication devices; training and support will be provided.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality.

Compensation & Terms

The pay rate for this position is between $20 and $22 per hour. This is an ongoing opportunity.
