Retail Checkout Associate

Overview:
Under the supervision of the Group Sales Manager – Front End-Receiving, Cashiers are responsible for warmly welcoming and assisting customers throughout the checkout experience. They will handle customer transactions with precision while providing information about additional services offered by Bass Pro Shops.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome and interact with customers in a courteous and engaging manner Deliver an exceptional shopping experience and promote the various programs of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's Utilize Point-Of-Sale and Inventory (SAP) systems to efficiently process customer transactions in accordance with company policies, including necessary identification and age verification Accept customer payments through debit, credit cards, gift cards, and cash Address and resolve customer concerns by applying sound judgment and logical reasoning within the scope of the role Collaborate with asset protection to adhere to all operational procedures, including product checks and security device management Rectify customer dissatisfaction by resolving issues directly or escalating to a Manager on Duty Perform opening and closing tasks as required: dispose of trash, replenish bags and supplies, maintain cleanliness of cash wraps, and organize drawer contents Support other store departments as needed based on business demandsRequired Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of experience in a retail or service-oriented role is preferred High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service and surpass customer expectations Strong judgment and logical thinking skills Background in a related field or outdoor lifestyle is advantageous Familiarity with Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's products is a plusBass Pro Shops & Cabela's encourages applications from individuals with disabilities.
