Light Duty Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Transparent Cleaning Services Ltd.
Job Summary:The Light Duty Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and staff. This includes sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, disinfecting operating rooms and other areas, and cleaning and disinfecting elevators.
Responsibilities:- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Dust furniture and fixtures to ensure a clean and dust-free environment
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a clean and tidy environment
- Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Clean and disinfect elevators to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as required
- Provides physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators
- Provides visual accessibility accommodations, such as braille and screen readers
- Provides auditory accessibility accommodations, such as transcription software and teletypewriters
- Participates in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for persons with disabilities
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities
- Applies accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities
- Participates in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees
- Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and storage
- Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, such as facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training
- Recruits newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster
- Supports newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition
- Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees
- Participates in government or community programs that support youth employment
- Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
- Participates in government or community programs that support Veterans
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Veterans
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans
- Recruits Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives
- Assists with immediate transition needs of Veterans, such as relocation and housing
- Offers workshops, counselling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce
- Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market
- Offers flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace
- Participates in government or community programs that support Indigenous people
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Develops and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
- Provides cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
- Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
- Participates in government or community programs that support mature workers
- Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination
- Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for mature workers
- Offers phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload
- Offers phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring
- Provides workspace accommodations, such as age-appropriate ergonomic considerations, to meet the physical needs of mature workers
- Offers resources to help mature workers plan their retirement
- Participates in government or community programs that support members of visible minorities
- Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities
- Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities
