Job Summary

CEDA is seeking a skilled Chemical Cleaning Specialist to join our team at our Fort McMurray, AB location. As a Chemical Cleaning Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining chemical cleaning equipment and other specialty tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain chemical cleaning equipment and other specialty tools
  • Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
  • Ensure safety for all team members and property
  • Provide quality services to our clients
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
  • Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
  • Leave the job site in better condition than when you arrived
  • Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
  • Read work orders and designate proper hoses, chemicals, and other equipment required for the job
  • Ensure equipment is properly decontaminated at the end of the job

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years
  • 1+ years' experience in an industrial environment
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • CSTS-09 & OSSA Regional; BSO or Common Safety Orientation certification
  • Experience in industrial chemical cleaning projects, such as exchanger cleaning, tank cleaning, and large bore pumping systems
  • Experience working with industrial chemistries, such as hydrochloric, sulphamic, and nitric acid
