Patent Clerk Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patent Clerk to join our team at The Leadership Agency. As a Patent Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in the preparation and filing of patent applications, as well as managing reminders and communications with clients and agents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and file patent applications with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) and/or the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • Manage reminders for foreign filings, Office Actions, Notices of Allowance, and maintenance fees
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates, draft reports, and follow up on pending deadlines
  • Leverage modern IP systems and provide input on tech-driven improvements in daily processes and workflows
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a patent clerk or in a related patent assistant role
  • Strong knowledge of USPTO systems and Canadian IP Office processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
