Position Overview

As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring patient comfort and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany clients during outdoor activities to promote engagement and wellness.
  • Assist in the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of medical equipment.
  • Provide essential personal care services to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Support clients during meal times, including serving and feeding as necessary.
  • Assist in the mobility of clients, including lifting, turning, and positioning.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment in client living spaces.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and healthcare professionals.
  • Administer first aid when required and respond to emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Possession of relevant certifications, including First Aid, CPR, and Health Care Aide Certificate.
Work Environment

This role is physically demanding and requires attention to detail. A focus on client needs and a dependable, organized approach are essential for success.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is an asset, with a preference for candidates with 1 to less than 7 months of experience.

This position is permanent and requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, primarily in English.
