At WRHA Community Health Services, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to clients in the community.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide nursing care to clients with complex and unpredictable health needs, including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed treatments, and leadership roles within the healthcare team. This position requires a strong commitment to the mission, vision, and values of WRHA and the ability to work effectively in a demanding and stressful environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to clients in the community, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications as required.
  • Take a leadership role within the healthcare team and facilitate coordination of client care and discharge.
  • Work effectively in a variety of community settings, including homes, schools, and healthcare clinics.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in community health nursing.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • 2 years of related recent experience preferred.
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual or group(s).
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CNA Community Health Nurses Certification or relevant applicable certification.
  • Additional wound care and chronic disease management education.
  • Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM).
Working Conditions:

This position requires moderate to heavy physical effort and the ability to work in a variety of community settings under varying weather and environmental conditions.

The successful candidate will be required to use a reliable motor vehicle suitable for all environmental conditions.
