Job Title: Finish Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Harold Schlichting. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to create high-quality finishes.

Work Environment

Our team works in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results. You will be working at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions, and will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and a hard hat.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly
  • Own vehicle
  • Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat
