Job Overview:

Position: Innovation Product Manager at Canadian Tire Corporation, operating in a hybrid work environment. This role is suitable for candidates holding a Bachelor's Degree.

Key Responsibilities:

Your Role:

  • Assist in the creation and oversight of a dynamic portfolio of innovative products and new capabilities that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Oversee the execution of innovation products within the AI and Emerging Technology sector from concept to pilot phase.
  • Establish and communicate a clear vision and strategy for each innovative product.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitive assessments, and customer feedback sessions to uncover opportunities and validate product ideas.
  • Analyze the business impact of each product and capability, assessing the desirability, feasibility, and viability of proposed solutions.
  • Present product vision, strategy, business value, designs, and progress updates to stakeholders, including executives and technical teams.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams throughout the entire innovation process, from ideation and design to development, launch, and post-launch refinement.
  • Ensure that innovation projects meet established timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Utilize design thinking methodologies to guarantee user-centered products that deliver expected business value.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to gather insights and stimulate innovation.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for innovation projects.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all innovation initiatives. Collaborate with marketing, communications, customer insights, and support teams to ensure successful pilot launches and testing.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators to assess the success and impact of innovation efforts.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the cross-functional innovation team and the wider organization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation. Document lessons learned from product initiatives to inform future endeavors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related STEM discipline.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in product management, design, or innovation are highly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, focusing on emerging technology and innovation.
  • Proven experience in successfully leading projects from inception to completion, including proofs of concept, prototypes, and pilot programs.
  • Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies, as well as design thinking and agile development practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities, with a talent for motivating and guiding cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent skills in project planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Ability to manage multiple products and projects concurrently while effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • A genuine passion for innovation and emerging technologies.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in managing innovation projects and stakeholder relationships.
