Position Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic Primary Care team. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families within our community.

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with interprofessional teams to deliver comprehensive nutrition care within a person-centered model.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and education to individuals and families in various settings, including physician practices, homes, and community centers.
  • Develop individualized nutrition plans based on patient needs and goals, considering factors such as chronic diseases, dietary restrictions, and cultural preferences.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of nutrition-related policies and protocols.
  • Stay current on best practices and advancements in nutrition science through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from a recognized organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • Experience providing nutrition counseling and education in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
