At Jardeg-Construction, we are seeking a skilled Scaffolding Journeyperson to join our team for various project sites in the Province of Alberta. This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the Maintenance and Turnaround group.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing scaffolds to site requirements, material specifications, and CSA standards. They will be fully competent in assembling, dismantling, and modifying System (Layer/Ring Lock) and Tube & Clamp scaffolds. Additionally, they will have a strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing scaffolds to meet site requirements and CSA standards
  • Assembling, dismantling, and modifying scaffolding systems
  • Ensuring safe work practices in the industrial environment

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Scaffolder certification or proof of Journeyperson level hours
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Scaffolder in a heavy industrial or construction setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used as a scaffolder
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
  • Basic Rigging Certification
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test

  • First Aid
  • WHMIS
