About the Role

Fernie Pizza & Pasta is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Development: Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to meet customer needs.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure that team members are meeting their goals and objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure that we are getting the best possible prices.
  • Customer Relations: Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to increase revenue and build customer relationships.
  • Marketing: Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote our restaurant and increase customer awareness.
  • Leadership: Lead and instruct team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure that our restaurant is running efficiently and effectively.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with high levels of pressure and attention to detail required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines.
Personal Qualities and Experience
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, flexible, organized, reliable, and a team player.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food service management.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.
