Our expertise in managing both manual and automated processes enables us to efficiently handle the primary and secondary packaging for some of the most recognized brands in the confectionery sector.

As we continue to expand, we are on the lookout for Packaging Equipment Maintenance Specialists to join our team at our Export facility, specifically for the afternoon shift:

  • 3:00pm-11:00pm

Flexibility to work various shifts as needed is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and troubleshoot packaging machinery and lines, including vertical and horizontal cartoners, gluers, tape machines, baggers, pallet wrappers, printers, labelers, and multi-weigh scale/filter systems, as well as metal detectors.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure the quality and compliance of filled or packaged products with established standards.
  • Adjust machine components, tension, and pressure according to product size or processing angle.
  • Regulate machine flow or speed as necessary.
  • Address machine malfunctions by stopping or resetting machines, clearing jams, and reporting issues to a Supervisor.
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging materials.
  • Perform cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on production lines, identifying potential issues such as pile-ups or jams.
  • Attend to repair requests within the facility as per work orders.
  • Provide training to Packaging Equipment Operators.
  • Assist with production tasks on the lines as required.
  • Utilize the CMMS system for documenting repairs, preventative maintenance, and managing parts inventory.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or Mechanic with a focus on secondary packaging (e.g., shrink wrapping, overwrapping, and cartoning).
  • Background in Engineering or Technical Education.
  • Forklift or Scissor Lift certification is a plus.
  • *NOTE* Licensed Millwright certification is not required.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Technical mindset.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
