About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at HELP ME MOVE as a Furniture Mover. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload products and materials from vehicles, warehouses, or other locations.
  • Product Movement: Move products and materials within our warehouse or to and from customer locations.
  • Weighing and Labeling: Weigh materials and goods, and apply labels as required.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Packing and Unpacking: Pack and unpack goods, ensuring they are properly secured and protected during transit.
  • Transportation and Distribution: Transport and distribute materials and goods to and from our warehouse or customer locations.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Community Program Participation: Participate in government or community programs that support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees.
  • Language and Skills Training: Facilitate access to language training, skills training, and other community resources to support the integration of newcomers and refugees.
  • Refugee Recruitment: Recruit newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disasters, such as those from Ukraine or Afghanistan.
Support for Youths
  • On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, providing them with the skills and experience needed to succeed in the industry.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Community Program Participation: Participate in government or community programs that support the social and labour market integration of Indigenous people.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to Indigenous workers, helping them to succeed in their careers.
