About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Fresh Tandori Flavor Indian Bistro. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all ingredients and materials are properly labeled and stored.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and assist with food preparation as needed.
  • Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives, and perform other maintenance tasks as required to ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen.
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment.
  • Language and Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues and management in English, and maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
  • Work Schedule: Work a 40-hour week, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
