Position Overview:
The Transitional Housing Program Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the Transitional Housing initiative, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employment Type: Temporary, Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Qualifications:
  • Completion of at least two years of Community College education.
  • Alternative education and experience may be considered.
Character and Values:
  • The ideal candidate will embody mature Christian values and demonstrate a commitment to the Mission and Values of The Salvation Army.
Required Skills and Certifications:
  • A degree in social services, human sciences, or a related field.
  • Enhanced Security Clearance (CPIC).
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention training (required within 6 months if not certified upon hire).
  • Interpersonal Conflict Resolution training (required within 12 months if not certified upon hire).
Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles and work with adults in residential settings.
  • Knowledge of human services principles, including issues related to domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health, and homelessness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of financial and statistical reporting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must obtain necessary clearances as a condition of employment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Job responsibilities involve walking, keyboarding, occasional lifting, and maintaining office equipment.
  • Moderate physical fitness is necessary to perform direct program activities.
Work Environment:
  • Work is conducted in an office setting and various residential environments.
Health and Safety Precautions:
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations is mandatory, including universal precautions and necessary vaccinations.
