Job Title: Senior Technical Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Lead to join our team at General Motors. As a Senior Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the deployment and refinement of state-of-the-art observability frameworks, contributing significantly to the operational excellence and innovation of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of observability frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient software architectures.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy for all stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying innovative solutions to drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development or systems architecture, with a focus on observability.
  • Proven expertise in implementing OpenTelemetry in large-scale environments.
  • Experience with agent control, OpAMP, and control plane architectures.
  • Strong programming skills in multiple languages (C/C++, Java, Python, Go, RUST, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their monitoring tools.
  • In-depth understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Certifications in cloud technologies and observability frameworks.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
