• This role is within the PE Stamping division, focusing on enhancing press lines and integrating robotic systems, which are managed through external vendors.


• The ideal candidate will oversee the selection of vendors and external contractors, ensuring they meet project requirements.


• A successful Project Supervisor should possess exceptional planning skills and have a background in Controls Engineering.

Job Overview

The Production Engineering Stamping Department is in search of a dedicated and driven Project Supervisor. The main responsibility of this position is to manage projects related to equipment acquisition and installation for tooling updates, safety enhancements, and vehicle model transitions. Reporting to the Stamping Equipment Engineering Manager, this role will assist in achieving the department's goals for installing, starting up, troubleshooting, modifying, and supporting the production facilities with stamping equipment improvements and new installations.

Responsibilities:


• Direct a project team that includes controls engineers, technicians, contractors, and equipment suppliers to execute stamping equipment projects from budget planning to production handover, ensuring adherence to project KPIs for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.


• Investigate, develop, and apply innovative safety, quality assurance, and production technologies.


• Through training and hands-on development, become a technical authority in Stamping Equipment.


• Mentor and guide new engineers and interns on best practices in stamping equipment.


• Contribute to global information sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (advanced degrees such as an MBA are advantageous).


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing or Stamping Industry.


• At least 5 years of project management experience.


• Eligibility to obtain Professional Engineer status in Ontario.


• Proficient in analyzing electrical and mechanical schematics, as well as PLC systems.


• Strong documentation and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft365 applications including Excel, PowerBI, Project, and PowerPoint.
