Key Responsibilities

As a pivotal member of the HR team, you will:

  • Collaborate with management to provide expert advice on a wide range of employee and labor relations matters, including workplace investigations and performance management.
  • Coach and support managers in understanding and applying legislation, policies, and collective agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives to effectively navigate dispute resolution processes.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic HR initiatives that align with business goals.
  • Advocate for business unit needs to enhance Total Rewards and Talent Management programs.
  • Lead discussions on employee engagement, talent development, and diversity initiatives.
  • Review and implement HR processes to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Support organizational growth through various initiatives.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of relevant HR experience, particularly in unionized environments.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practices.
  • Experience in mediation, coaching, and conducting investigations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
