About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HR Business Partner to join our team at ApplyBoard. As a key member of our People & Culture team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our HR strategies forward, supporting organizational growth, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business challenges and develop solutions focused on enhancing employee engagement and productivity.

  • Strategic Alignment: Establish and drive HR programs and talent initiatives forward while ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.

  • Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and guidance to Divisional Leaders on people-related issues, resolve complex employee relations issues, and conduct thorough investigations.

  • Talent Management: Oversee workforce planning and succession planning initiatives, identify training needs, and assist with training initiatives to support employee development and career advancement.

  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest new HR strategies, participate in the continuous improvement of systems and processes, and leverage HR metrics and reporting to drive data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR business partner or HR Generalist, with at least 2 years working directly with business units.

  • University or College Diploma in business specializing in Human Resources, or equivalent. CHRP/CHRL designation preferred.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a full understanding of all HR functions and best practices.

  • Thorough knowledge of labor legislation and commitment to workplace compliance and standards.

  • Strategic thinker with analytical skills and a goal-oriented approach.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations and de-escalate conflicts.

  • Experience with HR metrics, reporting, and analysis.

  • Proficiency in using HR tools such as Workday is an asset.

  • Ability to conduct presentations and experience working in a high-growth tech company is advantageous.
