Release Coordinator

Job Summary:
As a Release Agent at Livingston International, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth release of shipments and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and coordinate all incoming release documentation.
- Contact clients and carriers to obtain missing documentation, information, and instructions.
- Establish and maintain accurate client accounts.
- Review and implement established client procedures.
- Enter data from documents and process additional costs.
- Establish credit release in accordance with company policy.
- Split and collate documentation for presentation to Customs.
- Apply barcodes and maintain control of RMD packages pending Customs release.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding tracing and other services.
- Control and arrange payments of disbursements as required.
- May be required to expedite shipments and prepare export documentation.
- May handle system batching reports.
- May be required to back up team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of customs operations.
- Ability to coordinate assignments to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with clients, staff, and management.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Ability to reflect a professional company image.
- Willingness and capability to learn position with on-the-job training.
Education and Certifications:
- High School/GED or equivalent.
- Working towards or successful completion of the Certified Customs Specialists (CCS) designation with the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB) or the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA).
