About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Northern Rockies Lodge Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and layout building sites in accordance with building codes and regulations, using measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to construct and renovate buildings and structures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the structural integrity of our facilities.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a safe and functional living and working environment.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects and minimize disruptions to our operations.
  • Supervise and train other workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate our facilities to ensure they remain safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
Requirements
  • Carpenter Trade Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course or equivalent training.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel to work sites.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
