Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator III

At the University Health Network, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator III to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing clinical trials, ensuring the highest level of patient care and research integrity.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Research Coordinator III will work closely with investigators, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders to coordinate and manage clinical trials. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and screen study participants, obtain informed consent, and coordinate patient visits schedules as per study protocol.
  • Execute all aspects of study visits, including assessment of adverse events, monitoring safety, medication, questionnaires, sample collection, and chemotherapy administration.
  • Provide clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials and implement and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation, as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • BScN preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in oncology with a knowledge base in GI Oncology.
  • Recognized certification in clinical research (CCRP) and/or oncology nursing (CON(c)) obtained or planning to work towards.
  • Previous clinical research experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
