Job Title: Procurement Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at Durham Industrial. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services to meet the needs of our organization.
  • Assess requirements of our establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased.
  • Negotiate offers from suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and terms.
  • Consult with suppliers to ensure that their products and services meet our quality and delivery standards.
  • Review quotations and determine contract terms and conditions.
  • Award contracts to appropriate parties and establish delivery schedules.
  • Monitor progress of delivery schedules and contact clients and suppliers to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our internal customers.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in purchasing or procurement is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
