Job Summary

C through 786 Diagnostic Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Aide to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Aide, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations by performing various tasks related to patient sample processing, equipment maintenance, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Processing: Log patient samples and prepare them for testing, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Set up and maintain medical laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Testing and Analysis: Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and maintain medical laboratory and laboratory equipment, adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control assessments of testing techniques, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Specimen Disposal: Discard specimens according to established safety procedures, minimizing waste and environmental impact.
  • Organ Examination: Dissect, examine, and weigh organs, as required, to support laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Test Administration: Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures, and record results, ensuring accurate and efficient testing.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on sample processing, equipment maintenance, and quality control.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and laboratory staff.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate laboratory operations.
