Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at West Coast Catering. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and manage a team of food service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and guidance to staff members on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate and Order Supplies: Accurately estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Hire and Manage Staff: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of food service staff, ensuring that they are qualified and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of food and service, ensuring that it meets the high standards expected by our customers.
  • Address Customer Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or concerns, resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Manage Inventory and Records: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have a clear understanding of our inventory levels and financial performance.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare detailed reports on food order summaries for our chef, ensuring that they have the information they need to manage our kitchen operations effectively.
Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor at West Coast Catering, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet customer demand. You will be required to stand for extended periods, ensuring that you are physically able to perform the duties of the role.

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
