Retail Checkout Associate

Overview:
Reporting to the Group Sales Manager – Front End-Receiving, Cashiers are responsible for warmly welcoming and assisting customers throughout the checkout experience. They will accurately handle customer transactions and provide information about additional services offered by Bass Pro Shops.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome and interact with customers in a positive and engaging manner Deliver an exceptional shopping experience while promoting Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's offerings Utilize Point-Of-Sale and Inventory (SAP) systems to efficiently and accurately process transactions, adhering to all policies, including age verification and identification checks Handle customer payments through various methods including debit, credit, gift cards, and cash Address and resolve customer concerns by applying sound judgment and logical reasoning Collaborate with asset protection to ensure compliance with all procedures, including inspecting products and managing security devices Rectify customer dissatisfaction by addressing issues directly or escalating to a Manager on Duty Perform opening and closing tasks as needed: dispose of trash, restock bags and supplies, maintain cleanliness of cash wraps, and organize drawer contents Support other departments within the store as required by business needsRequired Qualifications:
Preferred one or more years of experience in a retail or service environment High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service and exceed expectations Strong judgment and logical reasoning skills Experience in a related field or passion for outdoor activities is advantageous Familiarity with Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's product lines is a plusBass Pro Shops & Cabela's is committed to inclusivity and welcomes applications from individuals with disabilities.
