Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Longhole Driller/Blasters to join our team at Boart Longyear. As a key member of our Drilling Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of drilling equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all established policies, procedures, and best practices related to safety and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Train new drillers in a safe and effective manner, focusing on best practices and equipment operation.
  • Support drilling operations by mixing drilling fluids, performing basic maintenance, and conducting inventory management.
  • Maintain accurate operating records, including daily drill reports and inventory logs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate.
  • Sufficient language skills, literacy, and numeracy skills to perform all job-related tasks.
  • Labour background considered an asset.
  • 2+ years of directly related experience.
  • Exposure to different drilling environments and techniques is preferred.
