About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at BioScript Solutions. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with dispensing activities, including prescription checks, filling, and billing, as well as reporting adverse effects or events;
  • Conduct inventory management, including receiving orders and counting inventory weekly;
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and payers to secure coverage and resolve coverage issues;
  • Respond to communication from various stakeholders in a timely manner, including monitoring email accounts and answering phones;
  • Provide excellent patient-centered care in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including Post Infusion Feedback Reports, Incident Reports, and Adverse Event reports;
  • Stay up-to-date with new protocols, procedures, and information to ensure pharmacy practice is current;
  • Adhere to Cold Chain standards for biologics and specialty drug products stored and shipped by the pharmacy.

Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word;
  • Excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and clients;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision as part of a larger remote team;
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills, with attention to detail;
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and resolve issues effectively;
  • Registered Technician in the province of Ontario.
