About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Powell River, Bella Bella, and Bella Coola. As a Speech Language Pathologist with VCH, you will work with adult clients in various settings, including home, acute, and long-term care facilities, community clinics, and virtually with clients in remote areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in adult clients.
  • Complete client reports, educate clients and families, provide counseling, and consultation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds, risk management, and research, and provide leadership to new employees and Speech-Language Pathology students.

Qualifications
  • Current full registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia.
  • Three years' recent, related speech language practice dealing with adults with acquired communication disorders and dysphagia.
  • Valid driver's license for local area travel.
