Director of Infrastructure Management

About the Role
MCAP is seeking a highly experienced Director Systems Engineering to lead our IT infrastructure team. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and securing our storage and compute infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Architecture Team to develop our overall infrastructure strategy, standards, and capability needs.
- Work with management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term desktop, mobile, data center, and cloud service needs.
- Provide budgetary inputs to our 3-year forecast, identifying key infrastructure projects and expenses to ensure technology lifecycle standards are maintained.
- Define and prioritize capability needs, requirements, and goals to identify solutions to business needs.
- Perform estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating of work to reliably and consistently deliver according to plan.
- Contribute to our Innovation and R&D program to continuously optimize operations and drive beneficial change in people, process, and technology.
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to determine new opportunities, risks, and threats and contribute to development of associated plans.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5 years of managing teams.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry, in particular mortgages.
- In-depth understanding of Information Technology concepts.
- Ability to balance risk, cost, and benefit.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change and competing priorities.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent planning and project management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring and coaching others.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
- Excellent attention to detail and results-oriented.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Windows/Linux enterprise server platforms.
- Hypervisor technologies (Broadcom, OpenShift).
- Systems Monitoring (SolarWinds SAM/VMAN).
- Database Systems (SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL).
- Backup Technologies.
- Container Technology (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes).
